These terms cover your use of michelle.net.au. They are written to be read. If you use the site, they apply.
Who publishes this site
michelle.net.au is an independent publication based in Australia, written and run by one person. Where these terms refer to “we” or “the publisher”, that is who is meant.
What this site is, and what it is not
This site publishes general educational articles about nutrition, supplements and ageing well. That is all it is. It is not medical advice, it is not a diagnosis, and it is not a treatment plan. Nothing here is written with knowledge of your health, your medications or your history, and no article can substitute for a doctor, pharmacist or other qualified health professional who has all three in front of them.
Decisions about your own health are yours to make with a professional who can see your situation. If something you read here prompts a question, take the question to them.
The articles describe what published research has reported. Research changes, and findings that look settled today are sometimes revised. Articles carry the date they were last reviewed so you can see how current they are.
Using the material on this site
The words, images, layout and design on this site belong to michelle.net.au unless something says otherwise.
You are welcome to read it, print it for yourself, and link to it. A link to an article, with the headline and a short quote, is always fine and never needs asking.
What needs permission first: republishing an article in whole or in substantial part, translating it, or reproducing it in a book, course, newsletter or another website. Ask through the contact page and say which article and where it would appear. Permission is usually given.
What is not permitted: presenting material from this site as your own work, stripping the review dates or the sources from an article, or using the content to train a model or build a derivative product without permission.
Advertising and affiliate links
This site is supported by advertising, and some links may earn a commission. This never changes what an article says or which products it covers. The full explanation is on the affiliate disclosure page, and it is worth reading before you act on anything here.
Links to other sites
Articles link out to research papers, institutions and, sometimes, retailers. Those sites are not ours. We do not control what they publish, what they sell, what they charge, or how they handle your data, and linking to a page is not a guarantee of anything on it. Their terms and their privacy policies apply once you leave here.
Accuracy and availability
Articles are researched carefully and corrected openly when they are wrong. Even so, the site is offered as it is: we do not promise that every line is free of error, that the site will always be reachable, or that it will keep working the way it does today. Pages get rewritten, and some get removed.
If you find a mistake, please say so through the contact page. Corrections are made in the open, and the article carries the date it was reviewed.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, michelle.net.au is not liable for loss or damage arising from your use of this site or from anything you decide on the basis of what you read here. This does not exclude rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law or under any other law that cannot be excluded by agreement.
Your privacy
What this site collects, why, and what you can do about it is set out in the privacy policy, which forms part of these terms.
Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated. The review date at the top shows when they last changed, and the version on this page at the time you use the site is the version that applies.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. Readers are welcome from anywhere in the world, and nothing here limits rights you hold under the consumer law of the country you live in.
Getting in touch
Questions about these terms, permission requests and corrections all go through the contact page. Please do not send personal health questions; they belong with a professional who can see your history.
